Website Issues. Apologies from the Admin.
Posted by admin on Monday, June 29 @ 18:43:57 CDT (8 reads)
General NewsOk so I woke up this morning to a bit of an issue with the website. In the attempts to fix the issue it appears the database had crashed. So I thought no problem I will just go grab a backup and good to go. Not so as you can see. It appears that when one of the databases his 10,000 hits that particular table locked and the backup script could not longer run.

So in short it is unfortunate I have to tell everyone the user database and forum database was a complete loss. I did manage to get the downloads back up today as I had them on my work pc from working with them last week.

This pretty much has absolutely ruined my entire week and I am sick about it. I can assure everyone however that the backup breaking issue will not happen again. I have written in some warnings to let me know of an issue.

I am depending on you as a community to pick this site back up and rebuild it to what it was. My apologies to everyone and I hope everyone can understand how bad I feel about this issue.

Now there will be a some folks out there that will call me several derogatory names and I will need to thicken up my skin but I can assure them. Ask anyone in the IT industry and they should assure you that this type of thing can happen and has happened to others in the past.

All users will need to sign up for a new account and they will no longer need admin approval for accounts. All ASC Team Drivers who plan to participate in the new ASC Team Series coming soon please get your account signed up and report your new username to your team manager so they can get me a list.

Team managers please sign up your account and private message me your new account info so I can get your access back to the manager forums.

Thank you to everyone who will work with ASC to get through this unfortunate issue.

If you are logged in still from before the issue please click HERE to logout so you can re-register.

ASC Official ARCA Series Coming Soon.
Posted by admin on Saturday, June 13 @ 17:38:33 CDT (31 reads)
General NewsDoes your league have what it takes to team race? Is your league in the best of the best?

If you can answer yes to either of the questions above you are who we are looking for. ASC will be starting a team racing season in the future. This will require teamwork from all drivers in your team. Below I will list how this Official ASC Series will work.

1. Your team is allowed 8 drivers total. However you are only allowed 4 cars. As a team you will have a team manager who will communicate with the administration team on a weekly basis with any questions or suggestions. You team manager will be responsible for deciding what 4 drivers will race each week and which of the 4 team cars they will drive each week.

2. This is a team series and you will be required to work as a team. The goal is to keep all 4 of your team cars as high in the points as possible. The idea is to put your best driver for each track in your lowest car in the points.

3. All drivers will be required to race clean and courteous. We do not want a caution filled race each week. Dirty racing will not be tolerated for any reason.

4. ASC will use teamspeak as their voice chat and all teams will be seperated during the race in seperate channels. Your team manager will need a hot key on TeamSpeak to communicate with the race series director/admin.

5. This will be an open setup race and teams are NOT required to share information between other teams. They are however encouraged to share information within their team.

6. The rules will be supplied to each team before the official series starts and each week we will have a meeting between the team managers for any issues that need to be worked out before we start the race.

7. All teams will be supplied car numbers from ASC. They will be given in blocks of 4 numbers. Your team may be assigned 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, and so on. Your team will be allowed to design your paint scheme for your team and all 4 cars will carry the same paint and provide them to the ASC Series Director.

8. Once all skins are accepted there will be one skin pack created for the season. Once the skin pack has been supplied to the team managers no changes for the rest of the season will be allowed.

9. We will allow 9 teams for a total of 36 cars for the season. However only 32 are allowed to race each week so 4 cars will be elminated after qualifying as go home cars.

10. Self spins will not be tolerated. We will only allow 2 self spins in a race and you will be black flagged by the race administrator to park your car. The race administrator will reserve the right to park a car during the race for any reason. Any driver removals from the series for aggressive and rough driving will be voted on by all team managers. The race administrator will reserve the right to issue and clear any black flags during a race.

11. Real names will be required to run. No nicknames will be allowed.

12. This series will run on Thursday nights and will start on July 30th. Here are the times for each weeks event:

* 7:30pm EST Drivers Meeting
* 7:40pm EST Qualify
* 7:50pm EST Race

If you think you have what it takes to race with the best sign your league up today by clicking HERE.

TSF 2nd QTR 2009 Expectations/updates
Posted by admin on Tuesday, April 21 @ 17:18:27 CDT (76 reads)
General NewsWell, after the success of Texas and Kentucky releases, we are back at it again with more tracks, client updates, physic enhancements and more .... Smile

This quarter we are expecting to release several tracks, some actually planned a few months back but held back on varying reasons, others new to the scene. The tracks that should make it to the client would be Charlotte, Berlin, New Jersey Motorsports Park & San Jose. Pretty crazy variety, but should hopefully balance the desires of all... Smile

We have also begun early development of front end changes in physics to derive the final segment of the geometry which was identified early on, but required in depth code change to achieve. As we get closer to implementation we will explain the necessary setup effect it will have and how to adjust for it.

Login system is also on the agenda now working with Pragmatic and ISI to integrate the new validations and system calls required. We will soon be canvassing and/or requiring purchaser/users to validate specific information relating to their accounts in preparation for this really cool change. I can't explicitly say how all of this will work, but it should help bring the highly requested accountability and user identifications into use.

With this we are also working to bring the SimStatsLive and Matchmaking components all into the central utility (Leverage client) easing the experience for new users and centralizing the core systems into a single software unit. You will be able to launch your game, view your stats, join races, check rank and more!

Watch your news section of the client as we get these things into motion for you and as always your support is greatly appreciated!

Regards,

B. Zimmerman

Leverage Client Update Pending: Readme 1.4
Posted by admin on Monday, February 23 @ 18:25:47 CST (277 reads)
General NewsFixed: Game settings button would not launch game settings application.

Fixed: Better handling of situations that resulted in "-35" and "-36" script error messages; in the event one of these situations occurs, the client will notify the user to uninstall the game using the "uninstall.exe" included in the game install directory; the client will also remove any currently installed DRM keys, and will restore an install credit to the user if a DRM key is removed.

Fixed: Improved "Reset Leverage State" function, this function will now reset the installed state of all current patches as well as the "PatchVersion" variable – leaving the primary game install state alone if the game is installed properly; this will allow players who currently cannot get the Leverage client to see that a game update is available to reset their install state and correctly download/install any available game updates.

Fixed: Handling of multiple game update patches would prompt a user to install a second or later patch before the first patch completed installing - resulting in a "-35" error.

Fixed: When automatic update was enabled while multiple game patches are available, the Leverage client would sometimes put the client into an unusable state. Added: View details control when installing game/patch, allows the user to expand a detail box showing the current action the install system is performing.

Added: Link to Leverage Client Guide PDF document.
